I am a mother of four adult children and grandma (called Cubby) to one little angel.
I have worked in childcare part time for over forty five years.
I am a retired St. John Ambulance instructor in Emergency and Standard First Aid, Babysitter Course, CPR and AED. I am a Serving Sister in the Order of St. John Ambulance. I served on the St. John Ambulance Brigade as a member and a Superintendent for about a decade.
I am a practicing doula.
I am an animal lover. I worked at the Calgary Humane Society for eight years. I have been a foster parent for the Calgary Humane Society for over twenty years. I have worked as a pet and/or house sitter for about five years.
I have been an active volunteer for many organizations since I was about ten years old. I received an award from the Optimist Club for Outstanding Community Service when I was still in my teens. I was awarded the Alberta Centennial Medal honouring outstanding Albertans.
My main hobby is dancing. I dance regularly in many styles of dance. I also do a bit of instructing.
I speak English and my French isn’t too bad.
