Justine

I am a third year nursing student at the University of Calgary. I hope to specialize in pediatrics upon graduation as I love working with kids. I am an outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking, camping, rock climbing, cycling, and skiing. I am also training to run my first marathon in Revelstoke this August. My other interests include photography, cooking, reading, learning Spanish, and traveling. So far I have been to 19 countries!

I am working towards becoming a pediatric registered nurse. I recently completed a clinical placement at Alberta Children’s Hospital on the Surgical Short Stay Unit. On this unit, I worked with children from the age of 1 month to 17 years. I also worked with children with special needs.

I am currently working part time as a nanny for a 3 month old boy and a 2 year old boy who I absolutely adore.

For several years, I worked as a coach for the Dinos Youth Track and Field Program where I worked with children of elementary and junior high age.

I also volunteered for several years as a soccer coach with Alberta Cerebral Palsy Association. Here, I worked with kids as young as 4 years old with developmental and physical disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, autism, and Down’s syndrome.
