I am originally from Kelowna, BC but in Calgary completing the fourth year of my commerce degree at U of C.
I started babysitting when I was 13 and continue to choose volunteer roles where I can work with kids. I used to volunteer in the nursery at my church in Kelowna. I also spend my summers volunteering child care at the Kelowna Women’s Shelter. Since being in school I have volunteered for two years with Taking Strides, a local organization where we work one-on-one with kids with disabilities to help them improve their physical literacy. I have experience with kids of all ages. I also love to dabble in art and music, playing guitar and piano, and painting, drawing, and crafting – which I would be happy to incorporate in babysitting activities.
I continue to love working with kids as I believe they help us to find joy in the little things. Being exposed to that perspective has helped to keep my grounded throughout my university career.
